I purchased a Makita 16 inch electric chain saw to cut up a large oak tree on my property. It arrived quickly and was everything that I had hoped for. I have used chain saws in the past but not an electric one. I works every bit as good as a gas model. The only thing to be aware of is the voltage drop on the extension cord if you are more than 100 feet from your outlet. The recommendation is to purchase a 12 guage cord which is a little more expensive. Makita makes great tools.
