I just purchased this box, not having seen the companion box (DWST17807) which is the same size and less money. I was going to store my two, new, 1.25 HP, small, Dewalt routers with the fixed and plunge base. They came with a soft tool bag which was nice, however it would not work with impact damage. Both routers with accessories fit very well in the box after I removed the "guts". GREAT CASE. I just purchased two of the DWST17807 boxes. I'll probably put this box back together and use one of the others as a replacement for this case I'm currently using. The current trend with tool suppliers, Dewalt, Makita etc. is to supply only a cardboard box or a soft bag. Dewalt filled the bill and is offering hard cases to put your tools in to keep them from being damaged with rough handling. Thanks to Dewalt for such a high quality tool case....
