DEWALT's Premium XR™ Lithium Ion batteries pack maximum runtime in a lightweight design. Touting a 3-LED Fuel Gauge System, the batteries allow immediate feedback on the state of charge. Furthermore, there is no memory effect and virtually no self-discharge, resulting in less downtime. Overall, XR™ Li-Ion batteries with fuel gauge provide 33% more capacity over the standard packs.FUEL GAUGE BATTERY PACKS
The DEWALT Impact Driver will feature Fuel Gauge Battery Packs. The batteries have three green LED lights that indicate charge level. A recessed push button design allows for durability and ease of use. By pushing this button, you will be able to check the amount of charge left in the battery before and after an application. 3 lights indicate a 100%-51% charge, two lights indicate a 50% to 26% charge, and one light indicates the pack is approximately 25% charged or less. These fuel gauge packs are fully interchangeable with existing 20V MAX* tools.3-SPEED CONTROL
The new DEWALT Hammer Drill features a 3-Speed all-metal transmission for enhanced application control. The Electro-Mechanical speed selector is easily seen at all times and can be used with little effort. The selector allows for the ability to see what speed the tool is in without turning it on.PUSH BUTTON CHUCK
Noticeably different on the DEWALT BRUSHLESS Impact Drivers is the Push Button Chuck which allows users to change accessories and is preferred when compared to traditional ¼ Chucks. It features a One Handed loading design.

I have just recieved this impact driver, and so far I love it.
Comment:I live in the snow country of WNY. We get some crazy lake effect, and it can build up quickly. The last ten days dropped approx. 4.5 FEET off snow, and I the snow plow managed to send my mailbox flying. Well when l put out there, I screwed it to a PT 4x4 with a PT 2x6 on top. I then cut a matching PT 2x6 and screwed the box to that. At that time I only had a regular drill driver, and driving the 3" screws to fasten the 2 2x6's was a bear. (several of the heads stripped.) So I was not looking forward to driving new 3" screws up through the lower 2x6. Well, what a welcome surprise it was to drive the screws?! They went in without a single head stripping, and all went in full depth first time. I love it. I plan to use it when re-doing my deck this summer. Believe it or not, I am looking forward to it :)
